The following sections describe updates included in the Toast POS app release version 2.84.
Using grid view for Kitchen Display System (KDS) devices, you can now create assembly line workflows where an item is routed to multiple prep stations in a sequence. An item will only appear on a prep station after it’s been fulfilled at the previous prep station assigned to it in the sequence.

The Kitchen Display System (KDS) now reports fulfillment times for items fired by prep time based on the interval between when the ticket is fired and when it is fulfilled. This improvement ensures more accurate fulfillment time reporting for your restaurant.

When individual prep station fulfillment is enabled, a yellow indicator displays on expediter Kitchen Display System (KDS) devices to indicate an item has been fulfilled by at least one prep station. Guests can now use the new Remove button to deselect preselected modifiers on Toast Kiosk devices. Previously, if an optional modifier had nested modifiers associated with it, guests could not remove any preselected nested modifier options.
